We proudly and happily welcome you to your Lucknow's first and the only blog. Lucknow is the place of most Cultured and Civilized people in India. We are so cultured and respectful that we abuse using Respectful words ( like Aap ki M.....) . It is actually the city of Nawabs and Kebabs. It is a city of Nafasat Pasand people where tea is not served a full cup even in the restaurants where they charge for a full cup of tea. Well jokes apart it is in fact the city of highly educated and well natured people. Although it is modern era but people have respect for others in their hearts.

Lets have a little knowledge of the City's Historic Background. It is believed that Lucknow is named after Lakshman ( or may be Laxman) , the younger brother of Lord Ram. It was previously known as Lakshman Puri. During the Muslim Rule it became 'Lucknow" in stead of Lakshman Puri.
Lucknow is now the State Capital of U.P; Uttar Pradesh. But U.P. in the British Rule was called United Provinces of Oudh and Agra. Presently Ms. Mayawati is the Chief Minister of the State and Mr. B. L. Joshi is the Governor of the State. Mr. Dinesh Sharma is presently the mayor of the city. The area of Lucknow District is around 2528 sq Km.
